Washington ParkWashington Park Average User Rating: (0 votes, add your vote or comments) Washington Park is located in south central Denver and has popular jogging and bicycling trails, a recreation center with an indoor pool, a lawn bowling/croquet green, and two lakes which allow State-licensed lakeshore fishing. City Ditch, a national Historic Landmark, flows across the park and provides water for irrigation. One notable statue is Wynken, Blynken and Nod, a memorial to poet Eugene Field who wrote "Dutch Lullaby" depicting three children who "one night sailed off in a wooden shoe of crystal light."
