The University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center is located in downtown Denver near the Denver Center for the Performing arts campus at the hub of the city's business, recreational, and commercial district.  It is withing walking distance of the Pepsi Center, Invesco Field, Coors Field, parks, and museums.  Situated in Denver, it is less than an hour away from some of the best skiiing, snowboarding, hiking, camping, rock-climbing, and whitewater rafting in the world. 

Nearly 15,000 students are served annually at the CU Denver downtown campus enrolled in more than 100 programs of study in 12 schools and colleges.  U.S. News & World Report ranks the Downtown Center #56 best PhD program in Biological Sciences, #6 in Health Administration, #70 for its School of Education and Human Development, and #35 in Graduate School of Public Affairs.  The University is also ranked highly in the Princeton Review, Entrepreneur,  and Modern Physician as is the Health Sciences Center.
